Fisherman's Daughter...
Fisherman’s Daughter...
songs and stories from
Stumpy Point...
a small village
on the coast of North Carolina
somewhere between yesterday
and toda ...
It really does exist... at least for now. Take time and go...
meet the real people who inspired these songs... feed the bears along the highway (in spite of signs to the contrary)... attend the Crab Feast in October or the Oyster Feast in February... experience Sunday morning at Shiloh Church.
Or... let us bring Stumpy Point to you! ... Fisherman’s Daughter is a colorful picture of life in this amazing village where everyone still knows everyone else, where you have to drive West for a good while before you can drive North or South, and where “there’s always a place to belong”.
Join King Goslin, vocals and guitar, and Johanna Logan Cooper, acoustic bass, as they relive Stumpy Point through original songs composed in response to the living in the village from 1992-1997.
Many of the songs in this performance can be heard on the album Fisherman’s Daughter.
