Over the last 35 years of teaching and performing, King has developed a unique and and passionate understanding of music. She continues to welcome serious students of all ages and levels of experience on most instruments. Guitar, Voice, Bass, Brass Instruments, Recorders, Keyboard/Piano and Hammered Dulcimer are her areas of greatest enjoyment.  Beginners are especially welcomed.

Creativity, Patience and Enthusiasm chart the course of study for each student. King’s very most favorite subject to teach is Music Theory.  It is woven into every lesson, regardless of the level or instrument, because it is integral to total musicianship.  There are short cuts to understanding and she knows them well.  More importantly, she knows how to explain them well and empower the student.
